My friend has given me iTunes Festival tickets but I'm not sure what I should do about ID?

My friend won iTunes Festival tickets for Foo Fighters but something came up and she can't go. She gave me her e-ticket through forwarding the email and let me have it. But on it it says I need photographic ID. So I'm not a girl, she can't go but what should I do? Is the ID to make sure you're over 14 or do they check everyone for their names and make sure they're the correct person and such?
