Is it appropriate to introduce or refer to someone by their gender?

Ok, so The most impy Thing to know is that EVERYONE, was born& raised different! I introduce my self by name and that's generally it. I don't know who mr.dot is, but apparently he hasn't had a dose of America..... Don't worry The way of introducing someone u think is right is right!
